The Amazing Hipster Printed Dreamcoat

It's big. It's bold. It's bam. And it's probably one of the most different pieces I've ever worn.

This, my friends, is a large over-sized sweater my parents plucked from the shelves of Forever 21. Originally a gift for my sister Maddy, it has been transferred to my closet and dubbed "The Amazing Hipster Printed Dreamcoat." In other words, it's something you wouldn't see me wear on a normal day.

The coolest thing about fashion is that you can always try something new and take risks in a million ways, which brings me back to the fall theme of change. It is more than okay to go outside your comfort zone, especially because you never know what it's like until you experience it for yourself. And the best thing about THIS philosophy is that is applies not only to fashion and art, but beyond.

One tip to keep in mind: if you go bold in one aspect, you need to stay neutral everywhere else to balance the look. We kept the bling to a minimum and the pants, shoes, bag, and top underneath black, allowing the sweater to stand out on its own.

In this case, I believe the risk was worth it!
