Our First Wedding Post!

Happy Thursday everyone! We are STOKED to present a brand-new category to our blog, which is focusing on...*drum roll please*...WEDDINGS! Since Taylor is getting married in less than two years, and since Taylor and Sue both previously worked in the bridal industry, we wanted to showcase all of the creative, beautiful, and helpful products, services, tips, and tricks that could also help you plan your big day!

To kick off this exciting venture, we'd like to share some wonderful pictures from last night's Bridal Expo Chicago, which was held at the very lovely Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace. Drury Lane itself is a great venue to consider for your wedding. It's a clean and open facility decorated with GORGEOUS chandeliers, mirrored doors, and potted plants. As seen at their dinners and brunches, they have a wide variety of food that's sure to fit anyone's taste buds, and their staff is very accommodating. Since they have several rooms of different sizes, your party can definitely fit no matter how big or small it is!

The expo itself was PACKED with tons of guests and every possible type of vendor you could think of. From bakeries to dress shops, to chiropractors and florists, from DJ's to makeup artists, all those part of the wedding process were in attendance. Everyone we met with was extremely nice and informative, providing details on who they are, what services they provide, and what to expect when working with them. The end of the expo included a fashion show hosted by fashion director Carol Tardi and Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta's Monte Durham who presented a glamorous display of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. Such gowns were made by well-known designers including Hayley Paige, Watters, Lazaro, Martina Liana, Sophia Tolli, Anne Barge, Mark Zunino, and more, all of which can be found at bridal stores across the Chicagoland area.
